We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and help make these ideas even better.

As STEF progresses so will the information presented here. You are invited to help us grow and be a part of the betterment of Northridge students. Check our newsletter page for our next meeting or contact anyone of the committee members. We will welcome you, your input and your help.

This site presents our organization's cause and ideas to you, the alumni and friends of Northridge Local Schools, Dayton, Ohio. As communicating isn't always easy, we'll try to include photos and images that convey our message. We'll also include specific information about our organization and its members, so no one forgets the people behind our words and picture.

The purpose of STEF is to enhance educational experiences in the Northridge School District. Funds for scholarships to worthy students already exist. STEF was created to provide funding for instruction, wellness and/or educational experiences within the school. The specific activity includes providing a stipend to a teacher, a staff member, or a school department. This stipend is targeted to a specific activity of the teacher, staff member, or a school department to aid in instruction, wellness and/or educational experiences. The Northridge community is served by the high school, Esther Dennis middle school and three elementary schools - Timberlane, John H. Morrison (John, also a former superintendent), and Grafton-Kennedy. Schools have a challenging task in serving today's students. STEF is designed to maximize opportunities for Northridge students. As an example; an award might go to the middle school earth science department. The stipend might be used to purchase models of the planetary system, charts, prisms for the study of light, or samples of rocks. These items would aid the earth science teacher in instruction with the final result benefiting the student.  To view some of the awards already given visit the Awards Granted page.
